Fabricated the flap drive blocks today. These came out really nice. Much better that the other phenolic blocks built for the rudder control cables.
However, the big event for the day was getting the two forward fuse side panels attached and pilot drilled to the aft fuse. The precision of the pre-drilled skins never ceases to amaze me. The skin holes lined up perfectly. The only tweak needed is to trim the end of upper right forward longeron to provide the 1/32 inch gap.
Once the side panels were attached John & Karole helped me flip the entire fuse on its side then upside down for installation and pilot drilling of the bottom skin. There just wasn't enough support yet to hold the weight of the side panels while on it's side so upside down was the best solution.
