Worked on fitting of the windshield strap to the upper firewall. Did I already mention I hate stainless? The fluting is also a problem since they are made at regular intervals around the firewall, but the holes in the strap don't line up with the flat spots. Spent a lot of time trying to flatten some flutes and add others around the curve. If Sonex is going to keep providing this part with pre-made flutes and a pilot drilled strap I think they could get the flats, flutes and holes aligned properly. This is an unnecessary time killer and it results in an ugly piece of metal when you're done.
