After last week off from work and a trip to Pine Mountain, GA it was back to work for a short Thanksgiving holiday week. Got out of the office early today, drove home and got some work done on installing the formers. I decided to work from the rear to the front. It looks like I will have to spend a lot of time massaging the flanges on each former to eliminate any gaps between the skin. Gaps cause dimples when riveted. Researching other builders efforts, many have used small pieces of .025 sheet to prevent the dimpling. That seems like too much work for me, so I will work the flanges for a tighter fit and see how it goes. I can accept some dimpling since this will not be a show plane, but a working plane.
