A day off from work equals progress. Started the day by finishing the riveting of the tail wheel mount area on the aft fuselage. No surprises or problems, everything went back together well. This took most of the day but count that stage complete.
I had a visit from a prospective Sonex customer at lunch time. He just took his first flight lesson on Saturday, but he's been studying the Sonex for a while. I gave him the nickel tour of the project and you couldn't wipe the smile off his face. Order that kit Tom and get started building.
After dinner I cleared the work table and pulled out all of the parts for the turtledeck. Fabricated the clips and the splice channel. After riveting that assembly I attached the skins to the splice channel. Although it still needs to be up drilled, deburred and riveted, I couldn't resist putting it in place on the fuse.
