After careful study of the plans and lots of research on the web looking at other builder's websites, I started working the tail wheel mount and all of the fittings.
Also fitted the bottom skin. This told me that I must have measured everything correctly because it fit like a glove. No adjustments necessary. I went ahead and drilled it into place to help keep the whole assembly in alignment. I can't say enough about the quality of the pre-cut and pilot drilled skins from Sonex. The time and effort saved is phenoenal.
At this point all of the crossties are fitted and pilot drilled.
Just as in woodworking, you can never have enough clamps.
