Started fitting the fiberglass wingtip. Several cuts needed to be made to clear the main and rear spars. I had to call Kerry for clarification on riveting. The plans show rivets in the middle of the tip along the flange on the end of the main spar, but most pictures as well as the supplemental sheets that come with the fiberglass did not have rivets. Kerry said they weren't needed, not even with position lights mounted to the tips. So, no rivets.
There are some ugly gaps especially at the leading edge and at the top along the main spar. Will work on that later after I get the lights installed.
