Brief Description:  Up Drilling and Leading Edge skin

After watching NASCAR, it was time to get back to work. Finished up drilling the bottom aft skin so that I could recycle my #40 clecos for the leading edge skin.

I thought this would take a while but it went on rather qucikly. I was very worried that the holes in the spar would line up on top and bottom. It lined up amazingly well. I tucked the LE skin under the aft skin at the spar to drill. It will go over the aft skin when finished.

Again, helpers really speeds things up. I even got Ashley to help out today. I think she even picked up a couple of blisters on her hands from the cleco pliers.

I used two non-ratcheting straps to hold the skin down then I used some of the long pieces of 1X2 that held the original pallet together to push the skin down. I wrapped it in the paper used to separate the skins for shipping. Finally, two ratchet straps pulled the skin down until the holes were aligned over the holes in the bottom of the spar. The top side is drilled and clecoed onto the ribs but the bottom side will have to wait for another day.
