Assembled the rivet "drive mechanism" as per the Sonex workshop and instructions. Since I didn't buy the Sonex bucking bar I had to make one. I used a 1 inch x 6 inch bolt that I threw against the grinder to flatten one side of the head so that it could get in close enough to the fitting. Then polished the top of the head as the bucking surface.
I needed Zach to hold the bucking bar and balance the spar on top of it while I pounded the crap out of the rivets. It worked surprisingly well and I didn't need to drill out any of the rivets although a real bucking bar would have made it a bit easier.
