Brief Description:  Aft wing rib fabrication

Taking some time off since I didn't take any after going to Afghanistan. Started fabrication of the aft wing spars. Same process as the forward ribs. I managed to get all sixteen gussets bent, attached and pilot drilled. I'll finish up-drilling and deburring tomorrow.

One comment about the parts from Sonex. All of the gussets are pre-cut and pilot drilled so the process is extremely fast compared to doing it all from a sheet of .025. Layout is very time consuming and it's like being miserable. Once you've done it a couple of times, you don't have to keep practicing it. I would estimate that the machined aluminum option from Sonex will probably save a few hundred hours of consturction time. I think it's worth every extra penny paid.

I did spend some time doing some of that organizing and cleaning I talked about. We had some plastic shelving from John's old dorm room laying around, so I put it back together and I'm using it to stack all of the wing parts. Since it's plastic it won't scratch the parts and it makes finding the smaller machined parts much easier that trying to sort through a box.
