Finished fabricating the 8 gusseted forward ribs today. It took most of the day to debur all of the holes, clean up the gussets and reassemble and rivet all of the gussets in place. I had to use my manual hand riveter to set about half of the rivets because of the tight fit. Even with my shaved-nose riveter I still had to use my angled standoff to set a couple of rivets on each rib. Overall, this was a very time consuming step. Now, its time to do the same for the aft ribs.
I couldn't resist breaking out the left wing spar and attaching the forward ribs. I'm going to have to do some cleaning and organizing in the garage to get things ready to work on the wings and laying the ribs out on the spar helps get a visual on what to expect and how to organize.
