I got the same sick, disgusted, mad-at-myself feeling today that I had with the wing drilling disaster.
While fitting the canopy, I got in a hurry after marking a cut line and waiting for Karole to come downstairs to help me take the canopy off for the cut. I pulled the tape holding the bottom edge of the canopy on the left side off then proceeded to do the same on the right side. The canopy popped loose and rolled left and impacted the floor directly on the bottom edge. I heard the crack.
It's about six inches long from the bottom left edge straight up. I had already trimmed the sides so I can't trim it out with a cut. I guess I will have to call Sonex and place the dreaded second canopy order. Since I haven't started a new job yet, this will have to wait for a while.
I'm feeling that hatred for plexiglass that so many others have felt and I haven't even started drilling holes yet!
