My engine is being built by Aerotec Engines Limited, a busy and successful engine builder founded in 1996. They are located near Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada which is about 20 minutes from me. The owner; Jason Crowell was extremely helpful from the beginning of the engine planning process by answering countless questions and offering good advice. About a month ago we agreed on a final list of engine components and I submitted my deposit to get work started. I paid a visit to Aerotec the other day to check on the progress of my IO-360. Jamie the production manager was great by taking the time to go over every item on my list and took careful notes of my requested clock positions of various fittings that would work best for my firewall setup. I'm very happy with their work and customer service. They suggested I bring in my engine mount so they can bolt it on at the shop which will make the final firewall installation for me quick and easy. I'm hoping for delivery by the end of the month!
