Brief Description: Oil Cooler and Engine Baffles - Part 1.
I trimmed the tops of the engine baffles to allow for 3/8” to - 1/2" clearance with the top cowl. Then I looked at possible positioning of the oil cooler. I'm using a larger than stock cooler and have to figure out an installation method that will allow for proper top cowl clearance and reinforcing to hopefully eliminate cracks in the No. 4 cylinder baffle common with other RV-8's.
