Brief Description: Match drilled F-808 seatback support (Big mistake)
I match drilled the F-808 seatback support to the side support plates. Looking at the forums it seems most builders found minimal (or even insufficient) edge distance on the aft hole that will accept the AN509-8R8 screws. I found the same problem and realized it was due to the cockpit sides sitting a bit wider than the width o the F-808 support. Had I just used some Herc straps to bring in the sides tight up against F-808 this problem would have been avoided. I decided to reorder new cockpit rails, spacers and the front seatback support itself. This will cost around $250 including shipping. I was due for something like this to happen and can only hope that will be the one and only big error on the fuselage. I also match drilled the F-804 bulkhead caps before I called it a day.
