Brief Description: Sealed small leak in left hand fuel tank.
I sealed the tiny leak at the most inboard Z-Bracket to rear baffle on the left hand fuel tank. This leak was so small that I thought I would try the Van's recommended method of wicking Loctite 290 into it before I went the more drastic route of removing the access plate. I placed a vacuum near the filler hole (be careful not to get the nozzle too close as it can collapse your tank!) Then I got Allan to place a couple of drops of Loctite 290 on the leak location. I let it cure for a couple of days then using the Van's tank pressure test kit I inflated a balloon and checked it several days later. Success! I will re-test both tanks with soapy water and the balloon again prior to attaching the wings to the fuselage, but that is a long way down the road.
