Brief Description: Riveted left hand L/E assembly to main spar.
I used LP4-4's and LP4-3's to attach the left hand leading edge assembly to the main spar. I decided I would not be able to buck solid rivets with such limited access without doing damage to the ribs and or main spar. Using blind rivets, according to Van's is an acceptable alternative to this step. I managed to get the rivet puller up into the leading edge assembly where there is more room to position the nose of the puller over the stem of the blind rivets. This also puts the manufactured head on the thinner material. Then I used my squeezer and set all the rivets along the aft edge of the skin to the main spar flange. There are a few to set just aft of were the fuel tank will be installed that are not illustrated on the plans. I used AN426AD3-4's here.
