Brief Description: Tapped the tie down brackets to 3/8".
I had nothing but time at work this morning waiting for the fog to lift a bit offshore (the weather at the rig was 1/8 sm, VV001 and our approach ban is 1/4 sm) so I enlisted the help of one of our engineers at the hanger and borrowed the 'Snap On' Tap & Die set. Sean gave me all sorts of useful advise on this. I clamped the tie down assembly in a vice and used a brand new drill bit to open up the hole as required for the 3/8" course thread tap. I used lots of cutting fluid and went nice and slow. They both turned out perfect. Thanks Sean!
