Brief Description: Worked on Rudder Horn and Brace.
I rounded the top edge of the Rudder Horn to fit the R-704 rib and started on trimming the Rudder Horn Brace. I read on the Vans Air force Forum Board that the trim detail illustrated on the plans results in insufficient edge distance. So, I added about 1/8" to the depicted trim line and began to cut it back a bit at a time. I ended up with a descent fit which should give me the proper edge distance.
I also did some match drilling of the horn and horn brace. Next up is to match drill the two upper reinforcing plates on the aft side of the R-802PP spar.
Not a bad days work for someone as Jet Lagged as I.
