Brief Description:  Started work on rotating fuselage stand.

I decided I need to build a rotating fuselage stand. I just can’t see how I can safely invert the fuselage without the risk of damaging it in the process (even with lots of help). I also think a rotating stand will be well worth the time and money when it comes to wiring and eventually painting. I started with the purchase of an automotive engine stand rated at 750 LBS from Canadian Tire ($79.99 plus Tax). The vertical support of this stand declines slightly from 90 degrees with the front wheel installed. So, I replaced it with a wood block wrapped in rubber get it perpendicular to the floor. Next I took some measurements and drew up some plans for a frame that will mount to the 4 engine mount holes in the firewall. I will go to a metal fabrication shop nearby and select some raw materials. I'm thinking of using 1 X 3 steel tubing and some 1 X 1/4 flat bar to build a frame that will get bolted to the mounting plate on the engine stand.
