I set the nutplates in the middle and center angles as per the instructions. I don't know why Van's calls for this step before installing them onto the firewall. The nutplates interfere with the back riveter when you do this step first. I see no reason why you couldn't set the nutplates after you install the angle pieces onto the firewall. I used the squeezer to set most of the rivets along the bottom and my back riveting setup to get the rest. I left only the corners to do tomorrow.
