Brief Description:  Canopy skirt - Part 12.

I did a lot more work on the canopy skirts today. I painted the insides of the skirts and installed some shims at each vertical rib to retain the natural curve at their sides. I also used a two part epoxy product called ‘Fast Weld’ for added strength at the joint plate at the aft end and set the rivets securing the plate and handle pull in place. The joint on top is nice and smooth so I don't think it will need any fiberglass on the top side other than some Micro Epoxy paste to fill in the shallow depressions at the rivet heads and the joint seam. I will however, use several layers of BID on the bottom encapsulating the plate and rivet heads. I will also improve the shape of the slide rail notch with some glass work while I’m at it.
