I want to incorporate a handle at the back of the skirt to make it easier to open the canopy from the outside. I found a couple of 90 degree brackets in my junk box (I have no idea what they were for) which I trimmed down to size and polished the edges which should do nicely. I drilled a couple 1/8" rivet holes in their bases which will tie into the joint plate I will use to augment the strength of the aft skirt butt joint.
