Brief Description:  Auxiliary avionics power bus and warning lights.

I installed a 7 terminal power bus behind the panel. I needed a convenient place to get power for the GPS, COM 2 (future installation), external warning lights and a few spares. This bus is energized by my Aux bus and is independent of the VP-50 control unit. Then I marked and drilled mounting holes for two external LED warning lights on the instrument sub panels. The left hand amber light (which is dimmable) will be connected initially to the Dynon D-120 EMS and will illuminate during a 'LOW FUEL' condition. I might put a Smoke system in at a later date so I plan on using this light to indicate when the smoke is turned on. The red (non-dimmable) LED warning light on the right hand sub-panel is wired to the 'I' post on the starter relay. It illuminates whenever the starter is engaged. It's possible for the starter relay to remain closed after a start, which can result in starter damage. Secondly, if the starter relay should close during aerobatic flight the light will indicate this condition. These lights are from LoneStar and available from Aircraft Spruce. http://www.aircraftspruce.ca/catalog/elpages/lstestled.php
