I installed an airspeed sensing switch in line with the wire that sends control power to the 'flap extension relay'. The switch (World Magnetics, PSF102-7651-712) has an adjustment that allows you to set the airspeed at which the switch will open. I will dial this in during one of the first few flights to about 95 KIAS. This should prevent inadvertent flap extension above Vfe. I had an unused momentary push button type switch on my Infinity stick grip so I wired it to bypass the switch in case it fails or the speed setting adjustment changes. In a speed switch failure mode I would have to push and hold the bypass button on the grip with one hand and activate the down flap toggle switch with the other. Before installation, I wired the switch to an LED and blew compressed air through it to check it for proper operation. This day would have gone a lot quicker had I not installed the speed switch to the 'UP' relay first in error. Oh well, I got it right the second time and it works nicely now.
