I spent the day working on my battery access door project. I'm using a Hartwell latch and some scrap aluminum to make up the parts. I used the bending break at work to fabricate some stiffeners. I put one on the battery door and one on each side of the door opening which also act as the door stop. I used a piece of light aluminum angle as the main floor stiffener and the contact for the latching mechanism. Next up is preparation for priming and then dimple and machine countersinking.
