I started the battery access door project today by marking and cutting out the access hole. Then I clamped and drilled the hinge for the door. None of this appears in the plans or instructions but is a common builder modification. These sorts of things take a lot of time because there is no guidance and it takes considerable time to figure things out. I used the shears at work to cut out the door.
