Brief Description:  Painting prep of sheet metal

Decided to get painting of fuselage out of the way by the end of this month. Didn't realize how much there was to paint until I started prepping all the bare metal parts and that's not including the engine shroud. I used acetone to clean each part of any markings. Each part was then lightly wet sanded. I then washed each in Dawn dish soap to get rid of any dirt or debris. I let each one air dry. I used Prekote from Aircraft Spruce to prep the aluminum surfaces for primer paint. This is to replace the acid etching process and solvent washes. It's alot of work but needs to be done so that I can get the engine mounted and start on the electrical project (tenatively set for Aug)
