Finally got a call from the ABF Freight people that my fuselage has arrived. My scheduled time was back around the middle of December. When I didn't hear from Vans, I gave them a call and they said it would be after the first of the year before the crates arrive. Kind of a bummer, since I had planed to get a jump start on the building during my week off between Christmas and New Years. Oh well...best laid plans! To save $150.00 in delivery costs, I took my trailer to the ABF dock and brought the two boxes home myself. Since they were so heavy, the truck would have needed a lift gate. they said that would be an extra charge. the Freight yard is only 30 minutes from the house so going there was not bad. Once home, I decided to uncrate them while on the trailer since it was easier than trying to slide the crates off the back into the garage. Unpacking was a breeze. Had a nice 4 foot pile of packing paper. Vans really does a nice job of packing the crate. No damage!!!
