Brief Description:  Center section

This my monthly log for May 07. I have been working on the center section in preparation for attaching it to the tail cone. Everything went fairly smothly. Since I will be installing steps, I drilled the holes in the baggage ribs. I cut out the lightening holes to accomodate the control stick. All parts were primed and finally riveted together. My only mishap was that I had a brain fart and installed the seat ribs in the wrong location. I didn't want to remove the ribs and relocate them so I opted to open two more lightening holes for the control stick. I don't see any issues with a loss of critical strength, just larger lightening holes on the pilot side. I finished up with the outboard seat rib. I needed to flute the rib to match the curve of the rivet line. The seat skins were installed and the top of the rib was match drilled with the 1/32 spacing as called out in the plans. Nutplates were installed and the front web was match drilled to the 704 spar. Now I need to attach the center section to the tail cone.
