Messed around a bit trying to get the VS rear spar ready to rivet. I clecoed the spar and spar doubler together. While inspecting the assembly I could see light between the doubler and spar between the last two clecoes. It isn't evident in image 1, but the gap is there. So I called Vans and spoke to Gus to make sure that this would be OK to rivet. He said that it would pull together, so I'll go ahead and rivet it. While putting this together, I noticed that the VS 412 hinge brackets had a burr on it that I somehow missed, so I deburred a couple of holes and touched them up with primer. I also spent about 10 min. trying to get a decent photo of the gap, but without some kind of closeup lens I couldn't get the job done.
