Today I was frustrated. I have several projects going one at one time. Flap brackets and aileron brackets and now I am moving onto the ailerons themselves. I just can't stand all of these loose ends. I can't put the flap and aileron brackets untill the skin is fully attached. I don't really want to get too far into the aileron building. So, today was catch up all those loose ends.
I needed to install and rivet the J-stringers. What to do with no help handy? Well, if I remove the fuel tank I can reach the rivets, ie: hold the bucking bar AND rivet at the same time. It worked! Thank goodness the stand wasn't any higher and thank goodness I have long arms. It was slow going and I had to drill several rivet but I got it done.
Mary and I did not do the lower edge rivets due to time so I got those done also. When we did the outer skin we messed up two skin rivets, so I drilled those out.
At the end of the day I felt like I got some of the loose end caught up. Good day after all.
