Brief Description: Match drill and debur left elevator
Match drill the elevator assy. Disasembled everything and debur spar, ribs, skin, trim spar.
I didn't make an entry the other day even though I spent time on the elevator. It took about 2 hours to read through the directions on the left elevator assembly. The trim tab confused me as to how all of this fit together. I mocked up some of the parts to see how it all went together. The instructions seemed very intense with a lot of information packed into a few short paragraphs. Each sentence represented a lot of steps along with the possibility of doing some irreversable damage. Maybe not irreversable but certanly would slow down the process by having to order more parts from Vans. With all the steps clean in my mind the assembly began.
