Brief Description: Mock up vertical stab, match drill
Assemble vertical stabilizer. Match drill skin, debur holes. Made my first screw up. I countersunk the rear spar where it is suppose to fit against the rear fuselage. I should have dimpled these holes and countersunk the doubler plate underneath. The holes are now too large so I now have my first piece of scrap. I ordered another one from Van's. It should be here next Monday.
So with that portion at a standstill I began the Rudder. Inspected the parts and CLOSELY looked over the plans and directions to make sure I understand what I need to do next.
