Brief Description: Back rivet upper stiffners, fab bracket.
Back riveted the upper skin stiffners to the skin. On the other elevator I did not do this step first, I riveted the lower stiffners first. But when I was riveting the upper stiffners I could not get the rivet closest to the spar by backriviting so I had to buck those. I will not make the same mistake this time. I used the strips I made previously colecoed to the skin and by clamping them to the table was able to do the back-riveting without the contraption I made for the right elevator.
Fabricated a gusset for the rib to trim spar. This was made from supplied stock and then bent to a 66 deg angle. I had no method of measuring the angle on such a small piece (1" x 1-1/4") I clamped it in the vise and beat it into submission. After several tries it fit perfectly into the corner with just the right angle.
