Verify lower rudder cap clearance to tailwheel. Begin top rudder cap fit. Fiberglass front of cap for clearance. Drill for nut plates. The top cap was simpler to fit since it didn’t have any major cutouts in it. It was too wide at the front and wouldn’t fit into the top of the rudder. I cut down the centerline and squeezed it together and cut one more time. The second saw blade width was just perfect. It was simple to fiberglass the two halves together and finish the outside. I’m getting better with each part.
