Brief Description:  Rivet bottom skin to ribs

Mom and dad were passing though Atlanta on Sunday. That usually means free dinner and some help with the airplane. Since dad is an experienced rivet helper (see wings) it was perfect timing. The bottom skin is large enough that I would not be able to reach all the rivets alone. I set the center section up on a couple of sawhorses to make the work area about chest high. That way we didn't have to be crawling around on the ground trying to buck rivets. It worked out perfect. We bucked all of the really important ones before dinner. After a great dinner (Longhorns!!) we came back and did almost all the rest of the skin. The garage is right next to the guest bedroom so we had to call it a night before my normal 10 pm cutoff. Anyway, we got a lot accomplished and only 5 rivets needed to be redone. Very good!!
Sunday morning they were gone. Thanks dad!! I promised dad a ride when finished. I told him that first so he would do his very best. Helpers always seem to be more critical of their work when they might be coerced into a flight at a later date.
