Brief Description: cur rib for fuel sender
Cur the rib for the fuel sender plate. I drilled a hole and used the nibbler to cut the hole round. I nibbled close to the shape, figured the exact placement of the cover, drilled the mounting holes and attached the ring to the rib. Then I could nibble all the way to the ring whcih left a very small area the could be easily filed and sanded down to the exact size of the ring. Everybody else talks about using a circle cutter which can be a very dangerous tool. Alignment is time consuming, the process of cutting is dangerous, and if that wasn't enough, if the rib gets away from you it can become a bent, twisted, and wadded sculpture to hang on the wall. Nibble the hole, shape to fit. Keep it simple and safe. Total time start to finish less than 1 hour.
Oh, also drilled for nutplates, countersunk the ring. Mark for orientation.
