Brief Description:  Aileron brackets

Mount aileron brackets. Spent the morning getting the brackets mounted then did some other misc items on the wing.
The plans didn't show the holes for the wing fairing mounts too clearly. (I think I just didn't see it) anyway, some of the holes closest to the fuselage are not suppose to be dimpled and certainly not suppose to have rivets installed. OOPS. Read plans for the fairings, they come with the fuselage kit, to find out how they mount and determined that I will just need holes now, nutplates come later. Drilled nine (nine!!!!) rivets from the edge rib. I don't think I've had to drill that many rivets at one time before. Flush rivets and 3/32" make for some careful drilling. The normal size drill for match drilling is a #40 bit. When drilling out rivets I use a bit just a little smaller. A #42 bit is .004 smaller. If you can hit the rivet EXACTLY in the center the smaller bit still allows a punch to be placed into the head and snap it off, If you are NOT EXACTLY in the center then it allows you to be off 2 or 3 thousands and not make the hole any larger. So far I have not had to use any oversize rivets, they have all drilled out just fine.

At this point the wing is complete and I have no outstanding issues. Wait, the wing is not complete, I still have MANY things still to do. I meant that the wing is complete as per the instructions up to this point.
