Brief Description:  Prime 'z' brackets and mount nutplates

Debured brackets and primed. Mounted nutplates.

Again the work description does not relate to the work actually performed. The brackets mount the tank to the spar. The holes in the spar are just large enough for the bolts so I think that the alignment of the bracket and in turn, the nutplate, is going to be crittical. The tank will be mounted after the rest of the wing skins are installed. The access holes will not allow the holes to be enlarged later. So I mounted each bracket to the spar. I used the bolts with washers under the head to allow the bolt to just thread into the nutplate. All three bolts installed into the nutplates makes sure that the alignment will be perfect. Then I drilled the rivet holes into the 'z' brackets. Just a little, so I could accurately finish drilling the hole through the bracket. Now the bolts will exactly line up through the spar and into the brackets. Time consuming now but I hope it will cut down on problems later.

I should also explain some of the time constraints I've been dealing with. The log shows 2hrs for each operation and for the most part this is accurate. I work in the mornig about 15 min. before work. I don't get much done but every little step is a step for progress. Then in the evening I get about 2hrs before I have to quit. After I remove study and scratch head time it works out just about right.
