Brief Description: Fix lt elevator. Received wings today!!!
ABF freight called yesterday and said they had my shipment scheduled for tomorrow. Shipment!! That must be the wing kit! Sure, bring it! So I went into work late this morning. While waiting for the truck to show I fixed the nasty rivets on the trailing edge of the left elevator. All I needed to do was bang the rivets down where they were sticking up. Kind of like back riveting on the front side. I figured I had nothing to lose. If I have to drill them all out and start over I might as well try this first. It worked perfectly. Both sides of the rivets look good. Encouraged I will do the same thing on the right elevator.
Then the boxes arrived. It was raining while the driver and I unloaded. I brought them into the basement and resisted the urge to immediatly open them and begin inventory. I need to finish the empennage first. I feel like I am sooooo close.
