Brief Description:  Mount stiffeners to lt skin

Mount stiffeners to left elevator skin. Match drill, debur holes. Begin dimpling left skin.

Not a lot of progress the last few days. I had to go out of town for the weekend. Not all bad though, I went to a Ferrari meet called Cavalino Classic in West Palm Beach. Lots of cars at Moroso track. Few places in the world you can go and see 4 Ferrari GTO's along with 60 or so other Ferraris driving at speed on the track. Then top it off with a Concours at the Breakers. Incredibly beautiful cars from the 50's and 60's up to the present. Pretty to look at but I was working in the vendor area selling books. Three days of vending, a day of traveling home and Monday night was a Civil Air Patrol meeting. I didn't really work on the plane the block hours shown, I did some before work and some after work but not enough progress to make a seperate entry so I lumped it together.

Also I was having a hard time figuring out how I was going to dimple the skins. I couldn't see how I could use the 'c'frame dimpler to get to the holes without scarring the skins up. After several days and some web searching I decided that the pop rivet dimpler would do the job although at a much slower pace. All of my nails needed to be modified to work. Home Depot #6 finishing nail diameter is too large to fit through the dies. The scotchbrite wheel could polish the diameter down enough to fit. The down side was that I pulled too hard and several nails broke. This required another session at the scotchbrite wheel but I got the process down.
