Fed-Ex delivered the empennage at 1335hrs Saturday. Merry Christmas to me!! My wife inspected the boxes as I inventoried everything. She said "How long is this going to take". I replied "About three years". She said "I guess you will be in the basement from now on". At least she'll know where I am during every spare hour. The boxes were a little beat up, but the pack job was superb. Everything was there and in good shape. Of course I had to begin immediately. Debured the front spar doubler. Debured the front spars. The process took awhile to figure out the best way to make everything look and feel right. Because I wanted to make sure I was doing it all right I called my buddy Steve Ashby (RV8A) to come and inspect my work so far.
