Begin cutting Vertical Stabilizer top cap. Fiberglass rear wall closed.
Cut top cap to fit VS. The cap comes long and needed to be cut so the rudder could clear. Then the open end needs to be closed off. I cut a piece of plywood into the correct shape of the open end and covered it with electrical tape. Then I fiberglassed the open end. The best method so far for the fiberglass has been to soak the cloth between two pieces of plastic and roll out the excess. This leaves just the glass with no excess resin. This makes handling and laying very easy. Sticky, but not gooey. The glass comes out reasonably smooth, and when dry , light and strong.
