No work this week at the part-time job as mechanic at the flight school. I work whenever they need the help. I'm working on getting the coveted A&P license. All seems silly to me, I've been a mechanic twenty years or more, worked on Ferraris and other high-tech cars. The processes are the same. Don't leave things loose, don't tighten things too much, use cotter pins and safety wire when necessary. But, I need to prove the time to get the A&P. Anyway, I work under the supervision of the flight school's A&P and we get along well. I fix whatever he wants fixed, ask questions when necessary and show him some tricks when needed.
So, spent Mon, Tue, and Wed working on walls. Completed the sanding, prime and paint over the three days. All ready for Christmas! Well not quite, still need to sand and stain the quarter trim at the baseboards and decide what we're going to do with the doors, but at least the walls are done!
