Brief Description:  incomplete elevator

On the "buliding the left Elevator skeleton and fitting to the skin," section, I figured out that the E-910 plates were not included in the kit. The four plates were not even included in the orgianl packing list. I called up van's help line and the guy was bugged that I saided that I had a missing part, and I can understand, but I have a missing part. I had found every item on the list and had it invantoried, and it's not present. Also I just don't have the many part left for the empennage and it's not their. The items on 6-7 and 6-8 were taken up to the point where the plates are need to rivet. an other innovation I had to make was for dimpling the ends of the rib tabs. The end of the tabs get to narrow to dimple with the squeeze tool. I the end of the yoke with the die don't fit inbetween the too tabs. So, I drilled the a conter sink into some flat Al stock and used it as the backing. I place a screw drive blade between the opposite tab and the flat Al stock. I placed a thin piece of wood on the outside of the other tap. This way I could squeeze with out damaging but have all the parts backed. Work good. The only problem was holding all the part together.
