Took the engine mount to a certified aircraft welder today to weld on the nose strut closeout and gussets. All went well till the very expensive welder (the machine, not the person) decided to quit. Luckily, the work on the closeout was almost done. I decided to finish the job myself, as the gussets are quite straightforward. Also today I did the preliminary trimming of the flox bosses for the bolt that secures the step, then drilled out the bosses, sleeve and step. I'll refine tomorrow.
