Brief Description:

I'm spending some time refining the inspection panels and the gaps associated with them. That involves a lot of hand sanding, which doesn't show up on photos. When I look at composite airplanes at shows or fly-ins, I look at the inspection panels, to see how much attention the builder paid to these details. I'm not great at it, but am trying.

Tonight, after spending some time at the panels, I removed the leg fairings and wheel pants, to apply micro to the top part of the leg fairings. That's hard to do when the airplane is upside down, with the legs in place. Luckily, I have a pretty good woodworking bench, with a tail vice and bench dogs, so I am able to clamp the leg fairings solidly to the bench to apply micro, and later block sand it to shape. Got one leg fairing microed today.
