Brief Description:

Yesterday and today it's sanding. The difference is that yesterday was arm and shoulder power, and today was air power. I like today better. Micro with Jeffco is really tough, thankfully, but that toughness makes it hard to sand. After not so long sanding by hand, I figured that an in line air powered sander would be a great help, which it certainly is. Obviously it's not fir the concave curves, such as those around the gear fairings, but for initial sanding of flat or convex or complex curves, such as the bottom of the fuselage, it does work well. Tonight I sprayed on a light mist of rattle can primer as a guide coat, and that worked quite well. Still not finished, but I can see that it will work, and the results will be fine. Still lots of pinholes and very minor defects in the micro, but those should be easy to fix with glazing putty.
