After quite a lot of frustration, I fitted the aft wing spar shear panel. This afternoon the temps hit about 97, so working, even in the shade, was taxing. Beyond that, the aft shear web is 50+ inches long, and the manual says it extends through the fuselage, for it acts as part of the flap actuating mechanism. Well, that's just fine, but how do you get a 50 inch web into a 42 inch fuselage? Not mentioned in the manual. Eventually, it required taking the bolts out of the wing spar and moving one wing out about three inches, of course messing up all the careful alignments achieved Sunday. Next is bonding in the shear webs. Manual says to bond them in with flox. That should be easy. Not.
