Brief Description:

During the past few days I had to deal with the trailing edge of the aileron. The rough chord-wise trim left the thickness of the trailling edge thicker than specs call for. To remedy this, I hogged out the trailing edge between the upper alnd lower skins enough to allow the two skins to come together a bit. I then filled the void with flox, and clamped the entire trailing edge till the flox cured. That worked remarkably well, and will enable me to take out a bit of the concavity of the aileron with less micro.
After that, I got my son, daughter in law and wife to help me flip the wing. The very pleasant surprise was that the wing skin to aileron and flap gaps were almost perfect. Just a bit of sanding needed. After that, today I reinforced the wing tip joggle in preparation for mounting the wing tip. The end of this wing is in sight.
